This statistic shows the mineral exploration spending and discovery value worldwide between 2005 and 2014, broken down by region. In that period, Latin America spent some 33 billion U.S. dollars on mineral exploration, however, the estimated value of discoveries in this region reached just 19 billion U.S. dollars.
