Mobile and stationary internet usage does not only differ in terms of user profiles and usage frequency, but also in terms of activities. Not only a consumer’s current situation influences their choice for a device, but also the activity they have in mind: Navigating, for example, is much more useful on the go, while other activities require more concentration. The Global Consumer Survey shows that especially media, such as games and videos, are used equally often on smartphones and desktop PCs / laptops.
