22.01.2019 Michael Adam joins Statista's management team as CCO

Hamburg, 22.01.2019 – Michael Adam joined Statista's executive board on January 1. As chief content officer (CCO), the digital expert in content- and data-driven business models will attend to content development from now on.

The main focus of his work will be, among other things, the global expansion of content as well as the development of new content products and formats. "Statista is the most important global platform for data on industries and markets - and a daily companion for everyone who makes their economic decisions based on data. The possibilities for further content development are fascinating. In view of the increasing amount of data, services which do not only offer access to information but also contextualize it become more and more important. Statista is in a perfect position to do so," Michael Adam says.

Adam studied sociology and psychology and has over 10 years of experience as a strategy consultant in the field of media and trade at the Boston Consulting Group and at LSP Digital (www.lsp.de). He was also in charge of setting up and scaling digital business models, as the founder of the online shop pinkmilk (www.pinkmilk.de), among other things, and most recently as managing director (CFO/COO) at the company builder StoryDOCKS (www.storydocks.com), where he was responsible for developing and scaling business models for digital storytelling.

"We are very pleased to have secured Michael as a new member of our staff, a recognized expert in storytelling who will help us take our content to the next level. In the spirit of our leitmotif ‘From Content to Context’, Michael and his team will put our content more in context from now on so that we can generate even more valuable insights for our customers," Dr Friedrich Schwandt said, commenting on this new addition to the team.
