04.02.2026 Shriram Ganesh joins Statista’s Executive Committee as Chief Product Officer
Hamburg, Germany – On February 1, 2026, Shriram Ganesh joined Statista as Chief Product Officer (CPO) and member of the Executive Committee. In this role, he assumes global responsibility for Statista’s product organization and will lead the development and execution of the company’s evolving product strategy.
Strengthening Product to power Statista’s next scalable growth phase
Ganesh's appointment reflects the next era of the company’s product evolution: Statista is accelerating its strategic transformation from “data search and display” toward a comprehensive data distribution and consumption model – enabling customers to access trusted data not only on the Statista platform, but also through partnerships, API solutions, and within their individual ecosystem. This marks the next phase of Statista’s evolution as a Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) company and opens new opportunities for scalable growth.
To support this transformation, Statista has consolidated all existing product functions into a newly established Product division, with dedicated C-level leadership.
Two decades of international technology and product leadership
“We are delighted to welcome Shriram to Statista,” said Marc Berg, CEO of Statista. “He has an exceptional track record of building outstanding products that are accessible, thoughtfully designed, and deeply customer centric. He also brings the rare ability to translate complex challenges into simple and intuitive solutions. With this combination of strategic clarity and execution excellence, Shriram is the ideal leader to shape the next chapter of Statista’s product journey – with a strong focus on delivering customer value and satisfaction.”
Ganesh began his career as a software engineer at Qualcomm, building a strong foundation in technology development and product delivery. He later moved into product leadership at Mercedes-Benz, where he contributed to the company’s digital product strategy and helped establish the Innovation Lab’s early portfolio of scalable solutions as a founding member. He subsequently spent four years at Delivery Hero as Senior Director of Product & Design, where he led global product strategy, strengthened platform capabilities, and supported rapid international expansion. Most recently, Ganesh served as SVP of Product at Adyen, playing a key role in building and scaling a global, API-first B2B payments platform, with a focus on enterprise adoption, product innovation, and measurable growth outcomes. In his new position at Statista, Ganesh will oversee all product initiatives, ensuring the company delivers integrated, innovative, and flexible solutions that create meaningful value for customers.
“I am really excited to join Statista as Chief Product Officer,” said Shriram Ganesh. “Statista is already the gold standard for reliable data. As we enter the era of generative search, my focus will be on shaping a consistent and intuitive product experience that unlocks new possibilities for customers – both on the platform and through our API solutions. Our goal is to ensure that Statista’s data not only informs decisions but integrates seamlessly into the tools professionals rely on every day. Product evolution and innovation will be central to this ambition, and I look forward to working with the teams to build outstanding solutions that will enable Statista to evolve from a destination platform into a conversational ecosystem that powers insights wherever they are needed.”
Ann-Kristin Hamke, who previously led both Product and Data as Chief Product Officer, will now focus fully on Statista’s data strategy in her new role as Chief Data Officer (CDO).
