Definition Quota sampling

Quota sampling is a systematic selection method. When putting together a quota sample, we do not select our statistical units randomly, but rather on the basis of certain checkpoints. Checkpoints are usually demographic data such as gender, age, income, and education level.

The knowledge of the composition of a population in terms of these checkpoints is usually based on other statistical data such as official statistics.
