This statistic depicts the share of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in total value added in the non-financial business sector in Italy in 2017, by size of SME. According to data, micro SMEs accounted for 42.7 percent of SMEs value added, the largest contribution. Small companies contributed with 30.7 percent to the total value added. Additionally, medium-sized enterprises accounted for the remaining 26.6 percent.
