The the number of retail stores to go into administration or company voluntary agreements (CVA) in the United Kingdom is a concern shared by many retailers in UK highstreets. In 2019, in Birmingham City Centre alone, store floorspace of 442,900 square feet was closed down due to retailers going into administration. Hull City Centre was another retail center to be a casualty of CVAs with a loss of 286,390 square feet of retail space.
