Views on fake news being made illegal in Great Britain 2019

This chart shows the results of a survey in which participants were asked to what extent they agreed or disagreed with the statement "It should be a criminal offence to spread fake news deliberately". 39 percent strongly agreed, compared to just 3 percent that strongly disagreed. In total, 75 percent of respondents agreed that spreading fake news should be made illegal.
