CBMM's mining waste 2015-2021, by type
The mining residues generated by Companhia Brasileira de Metalurgia e Mineração (CBMM) amounted to approximately 9.97 million metric tons in 2021, down from 10.8 million tons a year earlier. In 2021, around 56 percent of these residues resulted from ore beneficiation. CBMM, a Brazilian mining company headquarted in Araxá, Minas Gerais, is the world's largest niobium producer.
