Price increase in new and leased cars and trucks in the U.S. 2009-2018

In 2018, prices for both new cars and trucks rose, in spite of a drop in headline CPI as well as price of leased cars and tracks.The price of new cars increased by 1.6 percent in comparison with the previous year, while leased cars and trucks cost 5.8 percent less.
