Housing choices made to pay back student debt in the U.S. 2019, by tenure

In April 2019, 29 percent of homeowners chose a cheaper home to afford their student debt repayment the United States, compared with 22 percent of renters with student debt. About one fifth of American adults with student debt had between 20,000 and 30,000 U.S. dollars in student loans to repay.
