Number of registered seafood processing units India 2007-2015
During the fiscal year 2015, there were approximately 427 registered processing units for fish, crustaceans and molluscs, including their production in India. In that year, there were approximately 36,600 registered food processing industries overall. The food processing sector was responsible for the employment of approximately 13 percent of the unorganized sector manpower during the fiscal year 2019.
