U.S. adults on environmental research scientists 2019
As of January 2019, citizens of the United States had diverse opinions regarding the tasks and job performance of environmental research scientists. Some 40 percent of the respondents stated environmental research scientists do a good job conducting research most of the time, while around 31 percent indicated that they believe that their research is mostly not transparent about conflicts of interest.
