Share of working hours lost in North America (United States and Canada) due to heat stress is expected to almost double between 1995 and 2030, from 0.1 percent to 0.19 percent of working hours. The most affected economic sectors are agriculture and construction (carried out in shade), with an expected 1.01 percent of total working hours lost to heat stress in both sectors.
