Production volume of primary aluminum in India FY 2017-2019

The production volume of primary aluminum across India was around 3.7 million metric tons in fiscal year 2019. The stable operation of the smelters resulted in an increase of around nine percent. The increase however, was half the increase that was observed between fiscal years 2017 and 2018, due to issues related to bauxite offtake and increase is the production cost.
