Average monthly wages of musicians in Norway 2017-2020, by gender
In the past two years, the average monthly wage of male musicians, singers, and composers in Norway was mainly higher than the amount for female employees in this field. In the second quarter of 2020, male musicians earned 46,430 Norwegian kroner on a monthly basis, while women's salary amounted to 44,940 Norwegian kroner. However, the salaries for both declined considerably compared to the previous quarters, presumably due to the coronavirus outbreak and its consequences.
