Share of children using inhalant drugs in India 2017-2018 by state

According to a survey on substance use in India, Arunachal Pradesh had the highest share of children who used inhalants in the surveyed time period with 8.65 percent. Sikkim, Delhi and Himachal Pradesh followed suite as the highest proportion of children users of inhalant drugs. This alarming dependence on drugs amongst children is in part due to easy availability of street drugs in these states along with an easy access to over-the-counter medicines.
