Number of points of sale for renewable fuels in Sweden 2008-2018, by type
In the past ten years, the number of points of sale for renewable fuels in Sweden generally increased. In particular, gas stations for the ethanol fuel mixture E85 experienced the highest growth. While the number amounted to 1,053 in 2008, it peaked in 2015 at 1,846. Afterwards, the amount declined slightly to 1,723 in 2018. RME (Rapeseed Methyl Esters) stations also increased until 2015, before the number decreased again to nine as of 2018.
