As of 2018, nearly 36 percent of households in Mexico with a standing ventilating fan in use had a daily usage time between five and nine hours, considering the days in which the fan was used. Only three percent of households with a ceiling fan and 2.1 percent of households with a standing fan used them for less than an hour per day on average.
