Latin America and the Caribbean: fossil CO₂ emissions per capita 2018, by country

Curaçao, an island in the Caribbean sea, is the territory with the highest fossil CO₂ emissions per capita in Latin America and the Caribbean. This island, a dependence of the Netherlands, registered CO₂ emissions of more than 52 metric tons per capita in 2018, one of the highest in the world. Trinidad and Tobago, also located in the Caribbean Basin, had the second highest CO₂ emission rate in the region, amounting to 26.2 tons per capita. Haiti had the lowest figure, with 0.33 tons per person.
