Latin America: SDG Index by objective 2022

In 2012, the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development carried out in Rio de Janeiro created 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for all countries to achieve before 2030. In 2022, Latin America and the Caribbean had their highest average index scores in the SDG objectives regarding climate action, with this objective scoring 92.48 points out of 100, respectively. By comparison, affordable and clean energy scored 84.47 points. The region had the most challenges in the field of reducing inequalities, with an index of about 20.34 points. With over 77 points, Chile had the best SDG index score in the entire region.
