SDG Index change by objective Latin America 2019

Since the first measure of the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) developed by the United Nations, the SDG Index score for Latin America and the Caribbean has changed. Between 2015 and 2019 the greatest SDG Index score change for the region was in the industry, innovations, and infrastructure objective, which experienced a 10.8 percent change. The climate action objective in the region saw no SDG Index score alterations over the four year period. In 2018 and 2019, Colombia was the leading nation for corporate climate sustainability in Latin America.

* The list contains only 15 of the original 17 SDG objectives. SDG: 10 reducing inequalities and SDG: 12 responsible consumption and production were not included in the calculation regarding improvement or deterioration in the performance in relation to 2015.
The 2019 SDG Index for Latin America and the Caribbean presents the first comparable monitoring tool among Latin American and the Caribbean countries regarding their progress towards achieving the SDGs. The data collection, computation and report writing was led by the SDG Center for Latin America in the Caribbean (CODS) in Bogotá, Colombia, and it is based on SDSN global SDG Index initiative.
The score scales range from 0 (worst) to 100 (best) points. Further information about the index methodology can be found on chapter 3 of the report.
