Brazil: pharmaceutical sector production value 2014-2017, by type

In 2017, the pharmaceutical industry in Brazil produced more than 39 billion Brazilian reals worth of medications for human use, up from approximately 34.3 billion reals produced the year before. Meanwhile, the production value of pharmacochemical products in 2017 amounted to nearly 802 million Brazilian reals, down from 869.7 million reals a year earlier.
