In the financial year 2019/2020, revenues of the Italian soccer club AS Roma decreased significantly compared to the previous year. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, all 2019/2020 Serie A games stopped in March 2020 and were rescheduled between June and August, although played behind closed doors. This scenario had a dramatic impact on the revenues from matches, which decreased from 66 million euros to 26 million euros. Similarly, revenues from television and image rights dropped from roughly 112 million euros to about 80 million euros between 2018/2019 and 2019/2020.
