Debt of global nonfinancial corporations quarterly 2022

Over the last decade, the debt of nonfinancial corporations worldwide has grown significantly, increasing from 46.63 trillion U.S. dollars in the second quarter of 2009 to 88.27 trillion U.S. dollars in the final quarter of 2022. Chinese corporations had the largest corporate debt in 2021, amounting to 27.5 trillion U.S. dollars.
