Average annual NO2 concentration in selected Italian cities 2018
In 2018, Milan ranked as the worst Italian city in terms of NO2 pollution, with an average annual concentration of 52 micrograms per cubic meter (µg/m3). There were other five Italian cities where the mean annual concentration exceeded the European limit value of 40 micrograms per cubic meter: Ragusa, Palermo, Rome, Como, and Turin.
