Perceptions of cleanliness in Singapore now compared to five years ago 2017-2018
In 2018, 53 percent of respondents felt that Singapore was much cleaner than it was 5 years ago. This was a drop of 2.5 percent as compared to the results from 2017. The proportion of those who felt that Singapore was less clean as compared to before stayed relatively constant at around 11 percent. According to the survey, older persons were more likely to report that Singapore was cleaner now compared to those who were younger as cleanliness standards have changed over the years.
