EU per capita GHG emissions. Most EU member countries have experienced a reduction in per capita emissions since 1990.
Luxembourg produced the equivalent of 20.5 metric tons of carbon dioxide per capita in 2019. This was the largest amount of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions per capita in the European Union that year. Although it is one of the smallest countries in Europe, Luxembourg’s per capita GHG emissions are more than double the average Per capita greenhouse gas emissions in the European Union (EU-27) in 1990 and 2019, by country (in metric tons of CO2 equivalent per capita)
