Japanese Red Cross: revenue from blood services

The Japanese Red Cross Society generated an annual revenue of close to 165 billion Japanese yen from blood services in fiscal year 2019. This represented an increase compared to the previous year. In fiscal 2019, the Japanese Red Cross derived approximately 88 percent of the blood service revenue from supplying blood products for transfusion.
In Japan, the collection and supply of blood for use in transfusion are operated only by the Japanese Red Cross.
