Japan: fee for dental treatments per day by disease 2021

As of June 2021, the average health care fee for the general dental treatment of a neoplasm (tumor) amounted to around 1,727.4 points, which equals 17.27 thousand Japanese yen. In terms of dental therapy for the elderly generation over 75 years old, neoplasm treatment recorded the highest price of about 2101.5 points.
Medical fees in Japan are scored in points and distributed to patients at the cashier as a receipt. The ministry of health designates the score points of medical treatments according to the services and required techniques. Each point can be calculated as 10 yen and is used to determine the amount of money covered by health insurance available in the country.
