Share of fixed broadband internet users in Russia 2016-2018, by connection speed

The share of fixed broadband subscribers in Russia using the internet with a speed of 100 Mbps and higher steadily increased between 2016 and 2018, reaching nearly 23 percent at the end of the observed period. A gradual decline was recorded for all other speed categories. For example, 15 percent of fixed broadband users had a connection speed ranging between 256 Kbps and 5 Mbps, compared to approximately 19 percent in 2016.
