Tax evasion crimes in Romania 2015-2020
The highest number of tax evasion offenses in Romanian courts in the last five years was recorded in 2015, with a total of 2,461 cases. Since 2015, the number of crimes related to tax evasion has shown a steady downward trend, reaching 1,185 cases in 2020. However, the most significant decrease was recorded between 2016 and 2017, with a decline of about 23.3 percent.
