Hyundai & Kia electric vehicle global market share 2014-2019
In the first half of 2019, Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors took up 6.5 percent of the global electric vehicle market, ranked fifth in the world. During 2019, Hyundai Motor Group sold around 23 thousand electric vehicles in its homeland and exported over 63 thousand electric vehicles. That year, sales of electric vehicles by Hyundai and Kia increased significantly along with the popularity of new models, Kona Electric by Hyundai and Niro EV by Kia.
