COVID-19 treatments and vaccines in development by first results 2020

As of April 2020, a number of treatments and vaccines were in development worldwide to treat COVID-19. This statistic shows the expected early result timelines for the most promising drugs, therapies and vaccines currently in development for COVID-19 (coronavirus) as of April 21, 2020. Early results are expected within the next three months for the mRNA 1273 vaccine by Moderna and NIAID, as well as for Novamax' NVX-CoV2373 vaccine. The development of vaccines is of special interest as only a safe and effective vaccine is expected to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus permanently.
