COVID-19 impact on hotel room occupancy Russia 2019-2020, by city

From January to March 2020, approximately two thirds of rooms were occupied in hotels in Moscow. The hotel room occupancy rate in the Russian capital decreased by over 16 percent compared to the first quarter of the previous year. Accommodation establishments in the country's second largest city Saint Petersburg saw a nearly 14 percent decline in occupancy during the same period as a consequence of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
