Monthly number of tourist arrivals in Denmark 2019-2021
The number of tourist arrivals in Denmark, including both international and domestic travelers, declined remarkably in 2020 and 2021 over 2019 due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. In April 2020, travel accommodations in the country recorded around 85 thousand arrivals, whereas they reported over one million arrivals in the same period of the previous year. While this figure rose during the summer, it declined again during the following months, reaching roughly 210 thousand in December 2020. As of June 2021, the number of tourist arrivals rose to approximately 900 thousand.
