U.S. monthly oil production by region 2019-2020

The Permian basin is by far the most productive oil basin in the United States. Monthly production in the Permian peaked at 4.8 million barrels per day in March 2020. This basin is also known as West Texas Basin, located in western Texas and southeastern New Mexico.
