Priority of pension reform in France 2022, by socio-professional category
At the beginning of October 2022, a first round of consultations on the reform of the pension system began between the French government and the social partners. When interviewed on this subject at the end of September, slightly less than a third of French people considered this reform as a priority, and a quarter of them saw it as secondary. For 42 percent of the respondents, it was important, but not a priority. Those most likely to consider the reform as a priority were craftspersons and merchants, as well as retired people. Conversely, only 23 percent of executives and intermediate professions considered it a priority.
