From 2000 to 2018, it can clearly be observed that the production volume of distilling wine in South Africa was subject to severe fluctuations. In the same period, production ranged between 83.96 million and 166.56 million gross liters with an average production volume of 125.75 million gross liters. As of 2018, the preliminary production volume was 83.96 million (the trough), which constituted a decline of 26.1 percent from the previous year.
