In the United States, spring break is a one-week holiday period taking place at colleges and universities, occurring between the end of February and mid-April, depending on each institution. According to a February 2021 survey, small towns, villages, or rural attractions were the preferred destinations among U.S. travelers who have planned a spring break trip, chosen by roughly 69 percent of the survey sample. Meanwhile, almost 67 percent of respondents indicated beach destinations or resorts.
