Social insurance cumulative balance in China 2018-2022, by insurance type

At the end of 2022, the total accumulated balance surplus of the social insurance system in China reached around 11.7 trillion yuan (not including the maternity insurance). The cumulative surplus of the basic pension insurance alone amounted to about seven trillion yuan.
