Indirect CO2 emissions in Japan FY 2013-2022
In the fiscal year 2022, indirect carbon dioxide emissions in Japan amounted to approximately 1.82 million metric tons of CO2 equivalent, the lowest in the past decade. Figures have decreased steadily throughout the last decade from around 2.3 million metric tons in 2013.
While direct emissions can be controlled by an individual, indirect emissions are related to the individual, but cannot be directly controlled by it.
