Oil energy consumption of business enterprises Japan FY 2009-2018

In fiscal year 2018, Japanese business enterprises and plant consumed approximately 2.75 exajoules of energy generated from oil, remaining at about the same level as in the previous fiscal year. When compared to the amount in fiscal 2013, the petroleum energy consumption by companies in Japan decreased by about 12 percent.
