Merchandise exports in Africa as a percentage of world total 2005-2019
As of 2019, merchandise exports from Africa accounted for roughly 2.5 percent of the goods exported globally. In the same year, approximately 470.2 billion U.S. dollars were generated by merchandise exports from the continent. In its turn, the world goods exports amounted to around 19.9 trillion U.S. dollars.
