According to the results of a study published in May 2020, nine out of ten soccer fans surveyed in Brazil did not want professional football to restart amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Only 10 percent of respondents agreed for these events to resume in the Brazilian stadiums. The Portuguese-speaking country is the most affected by the coronavirus crisis in Latin America.
