Electricity production in Cyprus 2021, by source

Fossil resources, such as fuel oil is the main source of electricity generation in Cyprus. In 2021, nearly 4.3 terawatt hours of electricity were producing using fossil fuels. At that time, solar energy ranked second, with roughly 450 gigawatt hours of electricity generation. Cyprus' electricity generation amounted to five terawatt hours in 2021.
