Most demanded telemedicine consultations in Chile 2020, by specialization
Between March and June 2020, along with the lockdown measures enforced by the government due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Chile registered nearly 50 thousand telemedicine appointments. General medicine was the specialization with the highest share of patients, with nearly one third of the sessions. Meanwhile, psychiatry accounted for 12.2 percent of the teleconsultations.
