Most of the leading export companies from Italy are bank or energy groups. Enel, an energy company, is the leading export company from Italy in terms of sales value. The company registered sales of 86.6 billion euros as of 2020. Another energy group, Eni, ranks second. Italy's main export partners are countries within the European Union. Overall, Germany is the main Italian trade partner.
