Major export companies in Italy 2019
Most of the leading export companies from Italy are bank or energy groups. UniCredit Group is the leading export company from Italy in terms of assets value. The bank group had assets' worth almost one trillion euros as of 2020. Another bank group ranks second, Intesa San Paolo. Enel, an energy company, had some 190 billion euros in assets and represents Italy's third largest export company. Italy's main export partners are countries within the European Union. Overall, Germany is the main Italian trade partner.
