• Japan: share of cyclists with bike insurance 2021

According to a survey conducted between July and August 2021, around 55 percent of cyclists stated having bicycle insurance in Japan. In addition to the nationwide mandatory registration process of bicycles, more and more Japanese prefectures and municipalities have introduced compulsory bicycle liability insurance.
